Morgan/Harbour is pleased to announce the firm has completed the design and construction of a 121,680 square-foot office/warehouse/distribution center for Odyssey Logistics & Technology's intermodal metals transport business unit, CMI Logistics LLC in Joliet, Illinois.
CenterPoint Properties hired Morgan/Harbour to complete the new build-to-suit metal transload facility for tenant CMI Logistics. CenterPoint is a market leader in the development, redevelopment, acquisition and management of industrial real estate and transportation infrastructure to enhance business and government supply chain efficiency. They acquire, develop, redevelop, manage, lease and sell state-of-the-art warehouse, distribution and manufacturing facilities near major transportation nodes. The distribution center is located on an 11.94 acre parcel on Cedar Creek Drive in the CenterPoint Intermodal Center-Joliet. Design and construction of the new building includes 16 trailer stalls, 6 exterior docks with levelers, 4 interior docks, 51 car parking stalls, and 5,643 square-feet of office space, as well as all underground and above ground improvements and systems.
The MHC construction team includes Vice President of Construction Joe Zosky as Project Executive, Senior Project Manager Daniel Gil, Assistant Project Manager Lara Beresoff, and Superintendents Jim McCarron and Nick Pullara. Cornerstone Architects provided architectural design services. Civil engineering was by Cemcon, Ltd., and Grivas-Krause Associates, Ltd. was the structural engineer.
