Estimator

Perform high level of duties by managing incoming and outgoing estimates, bids, and proposals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed estimates, construction schedules and outline specifications.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and generate cost estimates.
  • Solicit and procure subcontractors and suppliers for bids.
  • Prepare project cost breakdowns and keep current with construction costs, building codes and architectural/engineering standards.
  • Understand market factors, commodity pricing, and material prices and their influence on construction cost.
  • Support project team during the design and development of each project’s construction documents.
  • Design coordination with the Architect, Civil Engineer, MEP trades, etc.
  • Track and maintain historical bid data.
  • Maintain estimating software pricing with current market.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Detail orientation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under strict deadlines
  • Must have ability to perform duties accurately and rapidly under tight deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher education is preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive related experience
  • Proficiency with On-Screen Take-Off/PlanSwift software
  • Conceptual estimating experience
  • Design-build experience in MEPFP trade
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project Management
  • Must have great organization skills
  • Ability to work with a team to achieve goals
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Project Manager

Provide overall management direction for two or more mid-size and small size projects and assist Senior Project Managers and Team Leaders with proposal development and project administration and Team Leaders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Request bids for specific work scopes from subcontractors, review bids and select subcontractors accordingly, in collaboration with VPC.
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with prime clients and subcontractors to facilitate construction activities.
  • Represent company in project meetings.
  • Manage project communications through Procore.
  • Manage, with little assistance, financial aspects of contract and all other construction documentation (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with client.
  • Review and coordinate shop drawings with contract documents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, per the supervisor’s direction.
  • Occasional estimating.

Qualifications:

  • Effectively manages a project, small to mid-range size, from start to finish with minimal supervision.
  • Proves input and support in sales efforts.
  • Manages cost and schedule projections with little assistance.
  • Demonstrates good organizational skills.
  • Shows good judgement in project conflict resolution with some supervision.

Assistant Project Manager

Participates in overall management direction for two or more assigned projects and assists higher level project managers with project administration and proposal development. Coordinate key field positions with project superintended and/or Field Coordinator on small projects. Learn and utilize project systems, policies, procedure, and performance standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of team lead, analyze and prepare bid analysis, request bids for specific work scopes from subcontractors, review bids and select subcontractors accordingly.
  • Manage project communications through Procore.
  • Learn to initiate and maintain liaison with project clients and subcontractors to facilitate construction activities. 
  • Learn to manage financial aspects of contracts and all other construction documentation (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with client.
  • Assist with reviewing and coordinating shop drawings with contract documents.
  • Perform additional assignments per the supervisor’s direction.
  • Assist with assembling all necessary permit information.
  • Manage punch list completion and assist in compiling closeout package.
  • Occasional estimating.

Qualifications:

  • Provides assistance and input to Project Managers and Team Leaders as assigned.
  • Has an understanding of project cost and schedule projection, is learning systems with supervision.
  • Demonstrates good organizational skills.

Superintendent

Provide on-site coordination for all phases of the construction project with which you are assigned, including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment deliveries, ensuring that design documents are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. In addition, Superintendents shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction to and resolve problems among multiple subcontractors and vendors.
  • Assist with jobsite set-up at on-set of project, including construction trailer delivery and set-up, jobsite office set-up, creating and installing signage, etc.
  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion of the project.
  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
  • Communicate with project team regarding RFI’s and material submittals.
  • Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
  • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
  • Maintain daily log of activities on jobsite.
  • Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractor in regards to quality of work, scheduling or safety issues.
  • Ensure subcontractor has promptly corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
  • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work; meeting minutes to be completed and kept on file. These weekly subcontractor meetings are a requirement regardless of the status or size of the project.
  • Ensure that the jobsite is always kept in a clean and organized manner; may be required to assist in said clean up as needed.
  • Perform job progress punch list identification and completion.
  • Assist in budgeting, bidding, and award of subcontracts.
  • Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.
  • Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the jobsite.
  • Identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope and communicate to the project team.
  • Participate in pre-construction meeting(s) with each subcontractor.
  • Opening the jobsite at the beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of the day.
  • Perform Competent Person SWPPP inspections as needed and maintain on-site SWPPP documents.
  • Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in construction related field
  • Minimum five (5) year(s) of related experience
  • 30-hour OSHA training certification within last 10 years otherwise willingness to re-certify
  • Hold certification in CPR / AED use
  • Must have a valid driver's license
